The Thai Delegation attended the eighth meeting of BIMSTEC SG-CFT between 16 - 17 March 2016 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. According to the existing BIMSTEC practice, Ms. Pranee Kaoian, Director of the International Cooperation Division, Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO), Thailand, as the Leader of the Delegation of the Lead Shepherd Country, were elected as Co-Chair of the Meeting.

Mr. Arjuna Mahendran, Governor og the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, in the key note address,  refered to the most recent hacking scan of Bangladesh Bank. He noted that cyber criminals had been using sophisticated and stressed on the importance of improving online surveillance systems of the member states.

At this occasion, the Thai Delegations made their presentations on Foerign Terrorist Fighters which emphasized on international terrorist threats, necessity of national and international cooperation, implementation of UNSCR and border management.
